English Open winner Stuart Bingham is the latest player to secure his place in next month’s ManBetX Champion of Champions at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.
Bingham defeated Mark Davis 9-7 in the final in Crawley to land his fifth ranking title. The former World Champion was a finalist in the inaugural Champion of Champions in 2013 and joins the likes of defending champion Shaun Murphy, UK Championship winner Ronnie O’Sullivan and World Champion Mark Williams at the Champion of Champions.
A total of 12 different players have already qualified for the tournament with one spot reserved for the winner of next week’s International Championship.
The remaining three places are filled by the highest placed players on the World Snooker ranking list after the recent English Open who had not already qualified for the tournament. They are Judd Trump, Barry Hawkins and Ding Junhui.
The draw and schedule for the ManBetX Champion of Champions will be released next week.
